I remember when I heard first heard the phrase “human justice” in 2012. It was from Kyung-ji Kate Rhee who explained the limits of human development and human rights. Her perspective persuaded me to think more deeply about the starting points of what it means to help people, interpersonally and communally. Watching the work she has and is doing with her organization, as she constantly pushes the boundaries of social justice work, is inspiring.
