Tirzah Joy Huerta Uecke, better known as Joy Huerta. She was born in Mexico City on June 20, 1986. Joy is a great singer-songwriter and guitarist, known for being the lead singer of the duo Jesse & Joy. This duo is made up of her older brother Jesse Huerta. Joy has released four studio albums; a live album and an EP with Warner Music Latina. This majestic singer-songwriter has won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Album, and also six Latin Grammys in other categories. According to the Los Angeles Times, Joy's voice has been compared to that of Alanis Morissette, Norah Jones and Kelly Clarkson. In 2019 Joy revealed her sexual preference for the first time on her Instagram account. She explained that she never imagined that the love of her life was going to be a woman, she also added that after 7 years of having met Diana Atri, her current wife, for the first time she had found happiness due to Atri granted her the joy of giving birth to her two children, a female named Noah and a little boy named Nour. Without fear of criticism, Joy raised her voice by posting on her Instagram account "Since I was little I have seen sexual preferences beyond black and white: two people loving each other with consent, for me it is love regardless of gender", She explained. Since 2019, after Joy exposed her sexual preference, her activism has been obvious. The singer confessed that the main reason for her to speak happily and openly about her life was a mixture of pride and respect, both for her wife and for her children.
