Christy Altomare began performing at the age of 5 in community theater productions in Pennsylvania. She was part of choirs and school productions in High School before attending the University of Cincinnati's Conservatory of Music. In 2004, she was a National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts winner in the musical theatre category. She graduated in 2008 with a BFA in musical theater. She began writing songs at the age of 12. She has 3 independent CDs, and at the age of 16 signed with her manager. In 2008, she joined the first national tour of "Spring Awakening" as Wendla. After performing over 600 performances, she was in the "Carrie" musical as Sue Snell. In 2012, she made her Broadway debut as Sophie in "Mamma Mia!" and was there until the following June in 2013. She then went to star as Guinevere in "Camelot" at Drury Lane Theatre. In 2016, it was announced she would be starring as Anya in the World Premiere musical adaptation of "Anastasia". The show ran at the Hartford stage in Connecticut, then transferred to Broadway. She played the entire run, from 2017 to 2019. Altomare has performed frequently in the "Broadway Princess Party" concerts in alongside Laura Osnes, Courtney Reed, and Susan Egan. She is currently working on her upcoming album "Wandering Bird".
