Lisa Forte-Doyle is a beloved English teacher at Monomoy Regional High School in Harwich, MA. After studying classical voice and performing in New York and Italy, Lisa got an English degree from Lehman College, CUNY and graduated Summa Cum Laude and a member of the gold key society. She then went on to attend Tufts University on a full scholarship and achieve a Master's In English and a Master's in Teaching English. She taught at Chatham High School for 22 years and has taught at Monomoy since its opening in 2014. Lisa is a breast cancer survivor, and is known for her flamboyancy, honesty and acceptance and love of all people. She teachers her students to think pragmatically about the world around them in an engaging and fun way. As a performer and lover of the arts, she encourages students to find the theatrical parts of themselves, and has had an impact on those going on to study the arts. She loves teaching creative writing and additionally hosts the Creative Writing Club at Monomoy Regional High School. She now resides in Brewster, MA with her husband and 2 cats.
