After 20 years of designing and teaching about gardens, Juliet has established her Sussex Garden School to share her unique approach to plants and her love of landscape. Her passion for plants is infectious; you will definitely feel inspired, enthused and equipped to make the most of your own garden. Juliet’s previous career in hospital medicine, informs her approach to designing gardens and communicating the importance of landscape to our health and well-being. She creates truly individual spaces, which help us to connect with the landscape and enjoy the full potential of our gardens. Juliet believes that access to good quality greenspace is a priority for healthy living and happy communities. In 2016, Juliet designed the Modern Slavery Garden for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. It was Chelsea’s first social campaign garden and was awarded a Gold Medal and the People’s Choice Prize. Having stepped down as Chair of The Society of Garden Designers, she is now on the RHS (Royal Horticultural Soc.) selection panel for show gardens and acts as a judge. She has won awards from the SGD in 2012 and 2015, for sustainability and hard landscaping design. In 2017 Juliet was made a Fellow of the SGD for her contribution to garden design & horticulture. Juliet’s presenter experience includes: BBC Gardeners World; regular coverage of The RHS Chelsea Flower Show; BBC Inside Out; Ch4’s Operation People Power and most recently Ch4’s Village of the Year.
