Lisa Chau pivoted into entrepreneurship in 2009 when she joined the Public Relations team at the Tuck School of Business at her alma mater Dartmouth College. Since then, she has built a strong network of entrepreneurs, investors, and executives across a myriad of industries; judged pitch competitions; and served as a mentor for SXSW (2018), the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (2018), and MIT Hacking Medicine NYC Grand Hack (2019). Lisa inspires others by her intense drive as well as her generosity of time and connections. She has volunteered much of her time freely, conducting business workshops and organizing entrepreneurship conferences for students pro bono. With Fu Foundation School of Engineering at Columbia alumnus Canberk Dayan, Lisa co-organized and co-hosted the How to Build a Strong Start-Up Conference at Columbia University, mentioned in Yahoo Finance. At NYU, she organized and hosted the NYU-Dartmouth conference: Adaptive Careers – How to Succeed in a Rapidly Evolving World, featuring Harvard Business Review author, Dorie Clark. Lisa has spoken and led workshops at Yale, Dartmouth and the Ivy Council’s Innovative Leadership Summit hosted by Princeton University. She was also a panelist at Microsoft in a Blockchain Conversation Series moderated by former Obama appointee, CNN alum, and Founder of LOGOS Cleve Mesidor. She truly dedicates herself to empowering others. Lisa delivered the keynote at New York Institute of Technology's (NYIT) inaugural Ventures Growth Conference. She also shared her knowledge in Smith College's Executive Education Leadership Series. She is a passionate alumna who served on the Dartmouth College Club of the Upper Valley, and continues to serve on the Board of Directors for the Dartmouth College Club of New York, where she helps raise money for the scholarship fund. Domestically, Lisa spoke on two panels during Charleston’s third annual DIG SOUTH — the Southeast’s first and foremost event celebrating the digital economy with over 200 presenters from companies such as Google, Instagram, Twitter, TechCrunch, BuzzFeed, and Inc. The media panel was moderated by NBC News anchor and Emmy-Award winning journalist, Angie Goff. Acclaimed entrepreneur and internet personality, Gary Vaynerchuk, delivered the kickoff keynote. Internationally, she was invited by the Bahamas Millennials Society to speak at their First Future Leaders Forum. She really loves engaging entrepreneurs and executives with the written word. Lisa has been published over 130 times in Forbes, Buzzfeed, Thive Global, US News & World Report, as well as Huffington Post on TABLES: Technology – Academia – Business – Leadership – Entrepreneurship – Strategy. Her work includes profiling successful entrepreneurs, high level executives, established professors, distinguished creatives and award-winning authors. This year (2020), she will be launching a new venture Clover Canal so she can better manage the work she undertakes to elevate others' professional development. She will continue to volunteer her time to social causes.
