Aileen Lee is an Venture Capitalist and she's a venture capital investor. She is the founder of Cowboy Ventures and she had changed the word of how unicorn was used, in the article for TechCrunch article, she wrote "Welcome to the Unicorn Club: Learning from Billion-Dollar Startups." Which was in a New York Times article. Lee is the cofounder of Cowboy Ventures and during its beginning, they have invested in many new startups such as Bloom Energy, Dollar Shave Club, and Rent the Runway. Lee had started her own firm in 2012, which was called Cowboy Ventures. It is one of the first VC firms which was launched by a women, and Lee spoke about diversity in Silicon Valley. In 2018, cowboy Ventures III had raised $95 million find which helped seed-stage tech startups. Not only is Lee a founder of Cowboy Ventures, she is also a starter of All Raise which runs the Female Founder office hours, which allows for a mentorship for female entrepreneurs and investors.
