Maria Eitel is the President & CEO of the Nike Foundation, the Girl Effect. Maria Eitel has found a way to find young girls resources that are necessary so they can play an active role in their future. Maria has worked in the White House, Microsoft, and Eitel joined Nike Incorporation as the company's first Vice President of Corporate responsibility. The girl effect was launched to improve lives of 250 million adolescent girls in the developing world who were below the poverty line. Maria has focused on four factors which were ending early marriage, delaying first birth, having more health and safety in the school, increase schooling and access to economic assets. Enacting economic and social initiative allows girls to have the opportunity to lead the world into a better tomorrow. Maria graduated from Stanford Graduate School's Business Executive Program. She was awarded an honorary doctorate from Babson College. Maria has attended Mcgill University, Babson College, and Georgetown University, and she had also went to Stanford University as well.
