"The kindest words my father said to me women like you drown oceans." Rupi Kaur is an Canadian Poet. She is an Toronto-based poet, illustrator, photographer, and a performer. Her debut book, Milk and Honey was published in 2014 and her second book , The Sun and Her Flowers was published in 2017. Milk and Honey was New York Times #1 bestseller. The book is about the experience of violence, abuse, love, loss, and femininity. Her book has four chapters where each of them has all different purposes listed onto them. Rupi has gotten her idea to name the book Milk and Honey because her dad used to study medicine and honey and milk were a way of healing. Honey would be mixed with other ingredients to act as a medicine to cure a cold, cough and honey stays forever and doesn't expire.
