Macy Amos worked for the Nashville city government and landed a job on the mayor's speech writing team. Macy took office in 2015, she had previous experience in interning with former mayors in which she took office officially in 2016. The perks to this job was a corner office in which she got at the age of 15. Macy had also served as an attorney with the city's law department. She also advises agencies on civil matters from land use decisions and beer selling permits, she also handles new property and handles protests at public parks. Amos had received her political science degree in 3 years and graduated from law school at the age of 23. In one encounter she had with someone who was a judge also a women, who thought Amy wasn't a lawyer because she was really young. Macy has stated that “A lot of times in meetings, I’m the only female at the table, and I am always the youngest person,”
