Previously, Joanna Stern was a technology Editor at ABC news in 2012 and also she was a reviewer and editor at The Verge and Endgadget. In 2016, Joanna received a Gerold Loeb Award for her Wall Street Journal Videos and also for her review video of the Apple Watch. Joanna went to Union college and now she lives in New York City with her partner Michelle Katharine. Joanna Stern met Michelle through twitter in 2009 and found her personality to be similar to michelle's, and now they are happily married and have a son.
