Cori Dionne "Coco" Gauff is an American professional tennis player, born on March 13, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia. She quickly rose to prominence in the tennis world, capturing the attention of fans and experts alike with her talent and maturity on the court. Gauff first gained widespread recognition at the age of 15 when she made her WTA Tour debut in 2019 and became the youngest player to qualify for the Wimbledon main draw, where she famously defeated Venus Williams. Gauff's career highlights include winning seven career singles titles, including the 2023 US Open, and nine career doubles titles, with her most recent victory at the 2024 French Open. She has achieved career-high WTA rankings of world No. 2 in singles and world No. 1 in doubles. Her journey began at the age of six, and with the support of her parents, who made significant sacrifices for her training, Gauff developed into a formidable player. She trained under the guidance of Patrick Mouratoglou at his academy in France and quickly made her mark in junior tennis, becoming the youngest USTA Clay Court National 12-and-under champion in history.
