Kinga Jelinska was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. Jelinska specialized in film and new media at the University of Bristol. Today, she works as the Executive Director of Women Help Women. Women help Women is a non-profit telemedicine service which assists women with getting their hands on contraceptives and abortion pills purely though emailing and delivering. Jelinska established this organization to offer practical solutions and to grant information about the use of abortion pills and contraceptives to women who are living in settings where access to abortion is illegal. To Jelinska, feminism means that everyone is entitled to equal rights, and opportunities. As such, she chose to focus on abortion as it is a "fundamental right and a matter of equality, freedom and autonomy." With abortion laws being different in each country, Jelinska and other activists she works with, makes it their role to provide information to these women and to be an open source for many. Jelinska has over 40 partner organizations worldwide cooperating with Women Help Women, and she has worked across many continents to set innovative community programs and hotlines to better assist with self-managed medical abortion.
