Karuna Nundy is an Indian Lawyer and Senior advocate at the Supreme Court of India. Nundy was born in 1976 and works internationally to lead the fight to criminalize marital rape within India. She has faced numerous difficulties as the law in India is split on the decision of whether martial rape is a crime or not. Throughout her career, Nundy has worked on various cases like marital rape, legalization of Queer Marriage and advisory work on Gender equality and Anti sexual harassment. Nundy is also a member of the NY State Bar Association, and she has worked as a Global Advocacy Officer with the United Nations. Her career as a lawyer had led her to make many changes as she often advocates for gender equality and reform particularly concerning sexual harassment and rape laws. Her voice has been a critic of workplace sexual harassment, and she has worked diligently to represent clients facing this. Nundy has been listed amongst the 100 most influential people in 2022, and her work has been covered by various publications, like the New York Times and the BBC. Her impact has led her to be known as a "leading civil liberties lawyer"
