Jacqueline Straub grew up in Göggingen and Pfullendorf. She passed the Abitur at the Staufer-Gymnasium in Pfullendorf in 2010. Then she studied Roman Catholic theology at the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg im Breisgau and at the University of Freiburg im Üechtland and graduated in 2016 with a master's degree “summa cum laude” at the University of Lucerne. Straub works full-time as an editor at the Schweizer Zeitung 20 Minuten. As a freelance journalist, she writes for Aufbruch, the independent magazine for religion and society and the Christian-ecumenical magazine Kirche In. Straub has a monthly column in the Anzeiger für die Seelsorge. She also works as a speaker and book author. As an altar boy in her home parish in Pfullendorf, she had the desire to become a Catholic priestess. Jacqueline Straub is married and lives in Switzerland.
